1. II Timothy 3:16 – all scripture is given by inspiration of God

1. scripture – Holy Writ, document
2. inspiration of God – divinely breathed
3. profitable – helpful, serviceable, advantageous
4. doctrine – instruction, teaching, learning
5. reproof – conviction, evidence
6. correction – a straightening up again, reformation
7. for instruction – education, or training, chastening
8. in righteousness – right moral Christian living

2. II Peter 1:20-21 – for the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Moved – borne along ( as the wind moves a sailboat)

3. II Timothy 2:15 – study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth

1. rightly dividing – expounding correctly the divine message
2. word of truth – scripture, God’s Word

4. Hebrews 4:12 – for the word of God is quick (alive) and powerful and
sharper than any twoedged sword

5. Hebrews 11:3 – through faith we understand that the worlds were framed
by the word of God

6. Ist Peter 1:23-25 – the word of the Lord endureth forever
